A few genres are included here, some oldies & newbies (nothing too hectic though) blended by overlaps rather than beat matching as I’m still awaiting my 1210′s reunion party and generally fighting with other beastly machines/gadgets (apologies for the slightly choppy volume control, especially to Marc Bolan RIP).

It was originally carved together for a background music in a chill out room at the MTV Europe Awards 2002 after party held in Barcelona where I now live & breath (although the Barcelona I remember from that night is entirely different to the now…).

It was a splendid night of fun with friends, all of us lording it up courtesy of MTV. I also played one of my better more uptempo sets (after Rob da Bank I seem to recall) and I wish I’d recorded the set to replace some some of the shockers I have hiding in the cassestte draw…

Musically it’s a mish mash of downtempo selections from 2002 with a few retro bits thrown in, I can’t remember the tracklist at all but it features the likes of David Axelrod, Aim, Ennio Morricone, dZihan & Kamien, Amalgamation of Soundz among others I’ve totally forgotten with the passing of time. Feel free to trainspot for me!

The excitement and explosive energy of this time will perhaps not be repeated for many years , it was our punk, although one wonders how much ‘nostalgia’ and too many ‘late nights’ has blurred my memory…
