Faced is a post Ibiza trip mix for the FYB collective and was thrown together in a more spontaneous lottery like way than my normal studio mix method. The selection is drawn from the recent FYB Boompt! party plus some summer titbits and deeper tracks to represent this weeks sailing into heavy winds in the face of balearic mood swings. Why does excessive fun have such a big payback price?

As if by magic it’s number two in the hopefully infinite Bill Shakes Mix series and this week’s serving is a funkier (but still electronic) affair than its predecessor containing a blend of bassy treats for those who like it sassy (What am I talking about?). Apologies in advance if the sound quality is somewhat wanting on the deluxe stereophonic equipment I’m sure you own. My present recording / mixing set up is very much ‘work in progress’.

After a brief hiatus (due to a naive web hosting change, limited knowledge of the ramifications of such a move and some much needed R&R..) I’m finally back at Bill Shakes bionic base camp.

This year I’m hoping to be a little more organised than last and share more delectable music (time & copyright laws permitting) for those who care.. The plan is to post regular DJ mixes using the mighty Soundcloud containing music that is tickling my ear drums at any given moment and see where it takes me/you.
